Sustainable agriculture group and garden neighbors Columbia Center for Urban Agriculture organizes this garden. Please be advised that there is often a waiting list for this small garden.
This garden was started in 2007 through the combined efforts of Boone County Family Resources, the Community Garden Coalition, and AmeriCorps volunteers. Raised beds have been built at wheelchair height for the benefit of disabled gardeners. Composting enclosures were added in 2008 by Sustain Mizzou as part of their project to compost kitchen waste from MU, transporting by bike. You can read a Missourian article about this project here.
