The Columbia Farmer’s Market and MU Extension are hosting an afternoon of free presentations about local food production this Saturday, April 4, 1-4 pm at the Unity Center. Get more information and read about all the great speakers and sessions.
You can see a cooking demonstration with in-season produce or learn about home food preservation, composting, organic pest control in the garden. Thirty-plus local farmers and vendors will be on hand selling and talking with people about our local food systems.
This sounds like a great event for gardeners to drop in on.
