The Community Garden Coalition is turning 30!

To celebrate this important anniversary, please join us on Saturday, June 15, for a garden cruise and birthday party. The cruise will showcase several community gardens in central Columbia and lunch will be provided! Fun and educational events are planned throughout the tour.

The cruise will begin promptly at 9 a.m. at the Broadway Christian Church Community Garden, 2601 West Broadway, and then proceed to the Ash Street Garden, Oak Towers and West Boulevard Elementary School. The tour will conclude with lunch catered by Centro Latino’s Comedor Popular at 12:30 p.m. at the Unite for Healthy Neighborhoods Community Garden at the Columbia/Boone County Health Department, 1005 West Worley Street.

This is a bike-friendly tour, so feel free to bring your helmet and join us for the ride. You’re also welcome to carpool or drive yourself. Limited bus/mini-van transportation may be available.

The event is free, but donations of $5-15 are much appreciated to help cover costs. You can make donations at the event or by credit/debit card.
